If you're looking for a quick & easy day trip out of Manhattan, this is it. Luna Park has your daily dose of beach, games & fun carnival bites. You can get there with a single subway swipe or take a cab for a more scenic route along the water. We partnered with the Luna team to get a taste of what's new to the park this year & by the looks of this post, we obviously couldn't get enough of the endless photo ops!
We started our day by checking out the rides. And fun fact: Coney Island's Cyclone roller coaster is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year! The smell of elephant ears in the air, hearing shrieks coming from the coasters & seeing oversized plush characters practically everywhere- You can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of nostalgia walking around the park. I'm pretty sure we were all beaming & it wasn't because of the crazy heat! After schooling each other in games & winning the cutest sprinkled unicorn prize that had an ice cream cone horn, we hit the boardwalk to journey along the beach & take a heaping amount of photos (because let's be honest).
#1. I Scream, You Scream - Coney's Cones
At this point, we were a few hours deep in the heat of the day, so a gelato fix was totally needed. Coney's Cones offers a mix of gelato & sorbet, flavors ranging from white chocolate macaron to a super refreshing lemon. And everything is made from scratch every single day using the freshest ingredients! So it's a must.

#2. Lunch Break - Place To Beach
When we decided to break for lunch, it was an easy decision. Place to Beach is the cutest outdoor restaurant located right off the boardwalk that's decked out in major beach vibes from nautical finished furniture to palm & botanicals planted throughout the space. And we tried pretty much everything on the menu! The lobster & crab rolls were by far our favorite, especially with "the works" which in our eyes meant a couple orders of waffle fries, margaritas & a giant fish bowl to share. At night, this place turns into a hotspot for the Coney Island crowd- They have live music, dancing & even bottle service!

#3. The Real New York Hot Dog - Feltman's
Right when we were leaving the park, we almost forgot to stop at Feltman's! Overloaded on delicious carbs from earlier, we still had to try the infamous & original hot dog. And it didn't disappoint.
News flash: I'm normally not a huge fan of hot dogs, but these are good!

Biggest thank you to the Luna Park team for being our hosts for the day & downloading us on some Coney Island history! I can't believe it's been so many years since I visited, when it's such a quick trip from my place in the city. And thanks to our amazing photographer, Jennifer! She's always coming up with the best concepts in the heat of the moment.
